A variety of clubs are offered at Kanoheda Elementary School. Our activities are sponsored by our staff. Please read the descriptions below to learn more about our clubs and activities.

Kanoheda Art Club
Art Club
4th and 5th Grade Students
Mission/ Purpose: Art Club at Kanoheda will help extend student's knowledge of art and their artistic skills through the use of a variety of art materials.
Faculty Advisor: Ms. Acosta

Description of Planned Activities: We will create art using a variety of mediums
Meeting date and times: Monday Mornings 7:00-7:45 am. September - February

Chorus Club
3rd-5th Grade Students
Mission/ Purpose: We seek to make music through the art of singing.
Faculty Advisor: Mr. Guzman
Admin Sponsor: Mrs. Long
Description of Planned Activities: Chorus typically performs 5 concerts over the course of the school year.
Meeting date and times: Chorus rehearses twice each week, Tuesdays 7:00 -8:00 am and Thursdays 3:00-4:00 PM. Each rehearsal we will work on our vocal development and rehearse music for our performances.
Baking Club
Kanoheda Sweet Kreations
4th & 5th Grade Students: Teacher recommendation is required.
Mission/Purpose: Baking and cooking with students educate and empowers students to make nourishing food choices through hands-on learning. Baking and cooking are life skills and support math, science, language, social emotional development, physical development (fine motor skills) and cognitive development. It also enhances collaborative learning and team building.
Admin Sponsor: Ms. Butler

Description of planned activities: Safety of baking ; Teaching how to bake a variety of baked goods. (cakes, cookies, cupcakes, as well as learning how to decorate and bake the goods).
Meeting date and times: Every Thursday from 3:30pm- 5:30pm starting on September 12th and ending on April 24th with a showcase presentation.
Jump Rope Club
KES Jump Rope Team
3rd- 5th Grade Students
Mission/ Purpose: The purpose of the team is to provide an opportunity that encourages self-confidence, mental and physical wellness, teamwork, and leadership throught the sport of jump rope. Due to the nature of the activity and space, students must be invited to join. Students are selected based upone their ability to jump rope and work with others.

Description of Planned Activities: Local school performances (TBD), High School and College half-time demonstrations during basketball half-time demonstrations during basketball halftime. (TBD)
Meeting date and times: Students will meet for practice on Tuesdays and Thursday mornings at 7:00 AM

4th and 5th Grade Students
Mission/ Purpose: The Podcasting Club at Kanoheda empowers students to creatively express themselves through multimedia platforms. Our mission is to foster a supportive and inclusive environment where young voice are heard, ideas are shared, and skills in communication, technology, and collaboration are developed. We aim to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a love for storytelling, enabling to explore their passions and connect with their community.

Prancing Patriots Dance Team
3rd- 5th Grade Students
Mission/ Purpose: The dance team program's purpose is to support Kanoheda Elementary School and all of its community events.
